Ongoing support

WordPress maintenance

The vast majority of cases that come my way could have been prevented by timely updates. The effort involved is manageable; it just needs to happen regularly.

That is exactly what I take care of as part of ongoing maintenance, including cleanup if something does happen.

What is included in maintenance

The scope is deliberately kept lean and covers what tends to fail in practice.

Verified updates

The core, plugins and themes are updated and then checked. That way, an update that breaks the site is noticed by me, not by your customers.

Cross-check against reported vulnerabilities

Your installed components are checked daily against published vulnerabilities. If there is a match, I take action without waiting for the next scheduled cycle.

Backups that have been checked

Backups run automatically and are restored on a spot-check basis. A backup that has never been tested is worthless in an emergency.

Cleanup included

If an infection nevertheless occurs, cleanup is included at no additional cost during the maintenance period.

How maintenance starts

1

Initial assessment

At the beginning, the installation is checked thoroughly once so that no legacy issues carry over. Any issue found during this process is cleaned up before the start.

2

Setup

Backups, monitoring and notifications are set up. After that, everything runs without any action on your part.

3

Ongoing operation

Updates and checks are carried out regularly. You receive a brief update if anything noteworthy comes up, and otherwise you can enjoy the peace and quiet.

from €65

per month, plus VAT.

The complete fine print:

  • All prices are plus 19 % VAT.
  • Orders processed on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays cost an additional one-time 100 € weekend surcharge.
  • Response and recovery times apply Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Outside these hours, I will respond as quickly as I can, but without a guarantee.
  • The time starts when I have received all the necessary access credentials – not from your first message.
  • I discuss special cases such as multiple sites in one installation, WooCommerce with ongoing orders or multisite with you beforehand and tell you the price before I start.

Frequently asked questions

What determines the price?

The starting price is 65 € net per month for a typical business website. It costs more for shops, multiple installations or extensive custom development. I quote the price after the initial assessment, not afterwards.

No. The maintenance service can be cancelled monthly. A commitment would also be difficult to justify if the service is good.

Yes, that is actually the standard case. The only requirement is that all access details are available and that I am allowed to check the condition of the installation once beforehand.

The cheapest infection is the one that does not exist

A call costs you nothing and takes five minutes. If it turns out to be a different problem, I will tell you that too.
